Eddy Kühl comparte datos inéditos sobre la vida de este gran autor nicaragüense, Rubén Darío. Encontrarás muchas anécdotas de su vida, como las épocas en que vivió en Santiago, Madrid, Buenos Aires y Nueva York. Podrás seguir a Rubén Darío desde el lugar donde nació (desconocido para la mayoría de los historiadores), hasta sus viajes por 28 países, desde Canadá hasta Argentina y desde el norte de África hasta Hungría. También incluye una entrevista inédita con su secretario en 1910, hasta su último viaje a Nicaragua, donde murió en 1916. Contiene muchas fotos originales y un árbol genealógico que se remonta a muchas generaciones. Como bono, se incluyen breves biografías de los grandes autores de su tiempo, desde Verlaine hasta Miguel de Unamuno y Amado Nervo.
Eddy Kühl shares previously unpublished data of the life of this great Nicaraguan author, Rubén Darío. You will find many anecdotes of his life, such as the times he lived in Santiago, Madrid, Buenos Aires and New York. You can follow Rubén Darío from the place he was born (unknown to most historians), to his travels to 28 countries from Canada to Argentina and from North Africa to Hungary. There is also a previously unpublished interview of his secretary in 1910, down to his last trip to Nicaragua where he died in 1916. Plenty of original photos and a genealogy tree dating back many generations. As a bonus, there are a few mini biographies of the greatest authors of his time, from Verlaine to Miguel de Unamuno and Amado Nervo.

Eddy Kühl Arauz, nació en Matagalpa in 1940. Realizó estudios primarios en Matagalpa, secundarios en colegio Centroamérica, Granada. Realizó tres años de arquitectura en East Los Ángeles College, California. Graduado en ingeniería civil en Universidad Centroamericana en Managua, en 1967. Formó varias empresas metal metálicas: Estructuras Kühl, Inversiones y Desarrollos Agrícolas y Prefabricados Nicapanel. En 1975 fundó el Hotel de Montaña Selva Negra. Embajador Plenipotenciario en Europa en 1979, para rescatar las embajadas de Nicaragüenses en ese Continente. Miembro de la Academia de Geografía e Historia de Nicaragua y de la extinta Academia Nicaragüense de la Lengua. Ha escrito y publicado 21 libros, entre historia, crónicas y biografías. Creador de la Fundación Científica y Cultural Ulúa-Matagalpa.
Eddy Kühl Arauz was born in Matagalpa in 1940. He completed his primary studies in Matagalpa and his secondary education at Colegio Centroamérica in Granada. He studied architecture for three years at East Los Angeles College, California. He graduated in civil engineering from the Central American University (UCA) in Managua in 1967. He founded several metal and agricultural development companies: Estructuras Kühl, Inversiones y Desarrollos Agrícolas, and Prefabricados Nicapanel. In 1975, he founded the mountain hotel Selva Negra. In 1979, he served as Ambassador Plenipotentiary in Europe, working to recover Nicaraguan embassies on that continent. He is a member of the Academy of Geography and History of Nicaragua and of the now-defunct Nicaraguan Academy of Language. He has written and published 21 books, including works of history, chronicles, and biographies. He is the founder of the Ulúa-Matagalpa Scientific and Cultural Foundation.

Su viaje literario comenzó con la necesidad de rescatar las raíces de su propia familia, expandiéndose luego a una labor pedagógica de preservación cultural. Sus inspiraciones nacen de los archivos olvidados, las tradiciones orales de las montañas del norte y el valor de quienes cruzaron océanos buscando un nuevo hogar. A través de sus obras, Kühl no solo narra hechos, sino que captura la esencia emocional de la identidad inmigrante.
A native of Matagalpa, Nicaragua, Eddy Kühl has devoted his life to documenting the rich history of immigration in Nicaragua. His literary journey began with a personal need to rescue his own family roots, evolving into a pedagogical mission for cultural preservation. His inspirations arise from forgotten archives, the oral traditions of the northern highlands, and the courage of those who crossed oceans in search of a new home. Through his writing, Kühl does more than recount facts; he captures the emotional essence of the immigrant identity.
